In some applications it’s not sufficient to only scale the products to discard the overweight / underweight items, but it can be necessary to rather sort and separate the products in different groups, according to their weight range.
This is an example of a custom sorting system as realized for a peppers line: the system features a dedicated PLC, that allows the operators to freely set their required weight ranges, up to 16 different ones, and to match each of them with an ejection station.
After the products are scaled, based on the weight range they fall into, they are placed in the corresponding collector by the dedicated ejector to their range.
The full system has IP66 protection, this being based on the architecture of the NEMESIS Series G checkweigher, and it’s water-jet-washable, also featuring special smart conveyors, for easy and quick cleaning.
